WTf is easily one of my favorite podcasts. Its also one of the most successful podcasts for a reason. Its real and raw and the host does not shy away from exposing the most intimate of details about life, pain, anxiety, success and failure. Oh, did I mention its also funny? and that most of the guests are comedians?
In the earliest podcasts Marc was more unsure, anxious and searching for the reason his career has landed him in his garage talking with friends. Why is he divorced twice? WTF?
If you follow the earliest episodes to more recent you can literally watch someone pick themselves up from their bullshit make sense of it all and become one of the most respected podcasters in the world.
… or you can just hear nearly every comedian you love on his show in an intimate real conversation about who they are off stage and what makes them tick.
Heres an entry into the coolest dad contest. I find it surprising that he risked his sons favorite toy. The animations were a real nice touch to a great video.
“On Aug 24th 2012 we sent my son’s favorite train “Stanley” to space in a weather balloon with a HD camera and an old cell phone for GPS. He was recovered 27 miles away in a corn field and we got some great footage of the trip. This video documents the journey from liftoff to landing.”
A mechanic friend told me the story of a 25 year old’s unfortunate accident. According to my friend the another mechanic worked in a shop next to his. This 25 year old guy took the shops client’s car to “test the new brakes”.
Unfortunately for this car, the mechanic and the client. This guy thought he was James Bond and drove at speeds higher than 90mph and attempted to drift the car into the shop parking lot. Instead he nearly cut the car in half with a telephone pole sideways. I know he wasn’t killed Instantly and was rushed the hospital. Did he survive his stupid recklessness? I’m not sure. Bang everyone loses.
The driver not only survived this wreck. He’s made a complete recovery and is back to work at the same shop!
I recently read the 4 hour body by Timothy Ferriss in one sitting by Audiobook download. Its like a shot gun blast of information. I do recommend the book. Its fascinating. Its a completely geeked out diet sourced by years of research by the author using himself as a guinea pig.
Timothy Ferriss used doctors and the scientific method to figure out what works best to reach his fitness goals. This wasn’t a fly by night affair but more like a 10 year research project.
Tim has researched why and how the body reacts to different foods and combinations and why and how we gain weight rapidly after a successful diet.
I highly recommend the book to any geek who is considering a big dietary change with a totally nerd approach.
He has forums on his website too.
Hell, The freaking guy even made a trailer for his book.
I would like to hear from anyone who will use this diet or is using this diet.
Timothy Ferriss is best known as the author of the 4 hour work week and was recently featured on Morgan Spurlock’s show a day in the life. The show is exclusive to hulu plus members and pirates everywhere.
