I recently read the 4 hour body by Timothy Ferriss in one sitting by Audiobook download. Its like a shot gun blast of information. I do recommend the book. Its fascinating. Its a completely geeked out diet sourced by years of research by the author using himself as a guinea pig.
Timothy Ferriss used doctors and the scientific method to figure out what works best to reach his fitness goals. This wasn’t a fly by night affair but more like a 10 year research project.
Tim has researched why and how the body reacts to different foods and combinations and why and how we gain weight rapidly after a successful diet.
I highly recommend the book to any geek who is considering a big dietary change with a totally nerd approach.

Hell, The freaking guy even made a trailer for his book.
